Extraadrenal myelolipomas (MLs) are rare benign
tumors composed of adipose tissue and hematopoietic
cells. Adrenal MLs are readily revealed by either
computed tomography (CT) or magnetic resonance
imaging (MRI) as fat-containing masses. However, when
these lesions occur outside of the adrenal gland they can
be confused with other soft tissue tumors.
